About Heartland Spa
Heartland Wellness Retreat and Spa is a wellness resort located within the Bella Vista Suites on the northeast corner of Lake Geneva in Wisconsin. Heartland Spa offers a variety of fitness and wellness classes, group outdoor activities, nutritional menu items, and educational workshops.
Packages range from single-day to full-week stays, and include accommodations, meals, unlimited use of exercise and spa facilities, group activities, and lectures. In addition to activities included in the packages, guests can purchase add-on private classes, special outdoor activities, personal consultations, health assessments, and spa treatments.
Accommodations
Heartland Spa is located in Bella Vista Suites, a waterside boutique hotel on Lake Geneva. Guests can choose from a variety of suites, all of which include king-sized beds, jacuzzies, and private balconies. Some rooms also offer a fireplace, full kitchen, or double balcony.
All suite options come complete with amenities including flat-screen TV’s w/ cable, jetted bathtubs, rain-head showers, kitchen appliances, bathroom amenities, living/sitting areas, and working desk areas.
Fitness
Included in Heartland Spa’s packages are daily group classes and activities such as meditation, outdoor walks, aerobics, yoga, swimming, and sauna sessions. Guests also participate in workshops focused on achieving health goals, led by professionals from a variety of fitness fields.
Heartland Spa offers personal fitness classes, assessments, and consultations at an additional cost. Individual fitness, yoga, meditation, and wellness training can be purchased for an additional $100 per hour.
Guests can meet one-on-one with a fitness professional to measure and assess their heart rate, blood pressure, body weight, body fat percentage, strength, flexibility, and aerobic capacity for $200. From these metrics, guests are aided in creating realistic fitness goals suited to their fitness level and needs. After their consultation, guests are provided with a written outline of their recommended fitness program and resources related to recommended exercises.
Food
All meals are included in Heartland Spa’s multi-night packages, with the exception of Saturday dinner, when guests are encouraged to explore Lake Geneva’s dining offerings. Heartland Spa offers guests a variety of menu options, which are all centered around their low-fat, low-sugar, high-fiber, high-protein approach to nutrition. Their meals include an abundance of fruits and vegetables, supplemented with protein, whole grain, and dairy products.
Heartland Spa also includes an educational program comprised of lectures given by professionals in a variety of fields related to nutrition. Topics include nutrition basics, food preparation, and behavior modification techniques for healthy living and weight loss.
Extras
Guests are encouraged to take advantage of Lake Geneva’s offerings of water activities, including swimming, boat tours, paddling, path walking, ziplining, and entertainment. Some of these activities are included in Heartland Spa packages, while others can be purchased as add-ons.
Location
Heartland Spa is located in the Bella Vista Suites at the northeast corner of Geneva Lake in Wisconsin, just north of the border between Wisconsin and Illinois, and about an hour southwest of Milwaukee.
Visitors arriving at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee can make their way to Heartland Spa by rental car (~60 min). There is no public transportation or shuttles from the airport to the resort.
Pricing
Heartland Spa offers a range of packages, from single-day to full-week stays. All packages include room accommodations, nutritious meals and snacks, unlimited use of exercise and spa facilities, classes, activities, and credit toward spa services.
The one-night all-inclusive program at Heartland costs $399 per person, which includes $99 in spa credit. The week-long all-inclusive program starts at $3,699 for singles or $2,799 per person for a shared-room rate.
Each package also includes add-ons such as massages, spa treatments, acupuncture, nutrition counseling, and personal training sessions.
