Sedona Wellness Retreat

About Sedona Wellness Retreat

Sedona Wellness Retreat is an all-inclusive year-round diet retreat hosted at the Lodge at Sedona, a bed and breakfast inn located at the heart of Sedona, Arizona. This FitStay offers juice fasting retreat, water fasting retreat, and detoxification programs.

The main focus of Sedona Wellness Retreat is the healing of guests’ chronic illnesses through naturopathic and nutritional remedies such as organic vegetarian meals, organic juices, and fasting. While their programs are geared toward those suffering from a variety of ailments, the retreat emphasizes that it is strictly for those who are self-reliant and do not require assistance to perform daily activities.

Based on a combination of medical history, healing needs, and nutritional preferences, guests may choose from three two- to twelve-week nutritional programs which range from a combination of daily organic vegetarian meals and juices to water and tea fasting. Guests may also choose from a variety of accommodations depending on their preferred level of comfort and number of amenities.

Additionally, Sedona Wellness Retreat offers optional treatments and services including laboratory testing, supplements and medication, advanced intravenous therapies, acupuncture, massage, and aftercare consultations at additional costs.

Sedona Wellness Retreat offers three tiers of accommodations including Standard Private Guest Rooms, Deluxe Private King Rooms, and Premium Private King Rooms, through their partnership with the Lodge at Sedona.

Standard Guest Rooms are located on the second floor of the bed and breakfast inn and include a queen-sized bed, private bathroom (shower only), vaulted ceilings, daily organic meals and juices (depending on program), access to the adjacent meditative labyrinth, climate control, free concierge, outdoor views, and basic room and bath amenities.

Deluxe and Premium King Guest Rooms are located on the first floor of the inn and include all amenities in the Standard Rooms in addition to a king-sized bed, flat screen TV, jetted spa tubs, outdoor entrances, and outdoor private view decks.

Because Sedona Wellness Retreat is primarily a diet- and fasting-focused retreat, there are very few fitness activities and equipment offered to guests. While they do offer optional yoga classes twice a week, daily outdoor walks, and light fitness equipment (recumbent bikes), all of these are completely optional and not included as part of a fitness-specific program.

Sedona Wellness Retreat offers different nutritional programs based on the medical background, nutritional requirements, and preferences of its guests. In their Advanced Wellness Program intended to “flood the body with vitamins and nutrients,” guests are provided with up to thirteen organic juices per day, organic vegetarian meals, and organic coffee.

In their Juice Fasting Program, guests are provided up to five organic juices per day and re-feeding with organic vegetarian meals at the end of the two- to six-week program. Similarly, in their Water Fasting Program, guests are provided with water and tea during their fasting period and organic juices and vegetarian meals to re-feed at the end of their multi-week fast.

I spent 4 weeks here. I had colitis and Ms. I paid for hyperbaric chamber , IV infusions, acupuncture, massage. My colitis got worse. They had no idea how to treat a flare up. They took me down 60 ft in the chamber, I have since spoken to experts in this field and they said the set up was archaic and could have killed me. They had constant problems with the chamber, running out of air, not able to open the pressure door after after a treatment, the mouthpiece was ridiculous for an hour and and half session and when asking for a mask there were holes in the side, not the proper mask for that chamber. I had IV infusions for 24 days straight should have been offered a port to lessen infection and scar tissue of the vein, I was not offered this. I had diahrrea for 30 days. The food was hurting this condition which they tried to help but I kept getting food that hurt it, like raw vegetables .I came home feeling energetic for the first night but collapsed for the next week. I put that down to the infusions were the only thing that kept me walking without that I was a mess. I paid so much money for smoke and mirrors. The interior was 80’s furniture. The welcome staff was ex cons, drug addicts, people who would never normally get a job at a place that charged that much. There was one Dr whose specialty was cancer, she had no time for anyone who was there for an autoimmune disease yet they advertised two dr one who specialized in autoimmune . I saw many clients complaining and wondering who was watching out for them . Bottom line is it offered a Gershoms diet created in 1955 and nothing else. I didn’t see anyone getting better. I wish I could report this the Bettrr Business Bureau but they aren’t even listed . Please don’t waste your money please look elsewhere. There has to be better places out there for your money. If you want to contact me the number is 905 299 4112.

    Holistic Healing in AZ

Sedona Wellness Retreat promotes the Gerson diet, which is a way to promote the body's natural healing abilities. The doctors here worked with me personally on my issues, and the landscape around the retreat is breathtaking. All meals are vegan, fresh, tasty.

I can't wait to go back!!!
